With You Every Step of the Way

Market Research

It's critical to understand what the market needs, and what the competition is providing.  By using tools and techniques developed by Fortune 500 companies and NASA, your idea will be analyzed against the market competition to see where you can make the biggest impact.

Here, research will be conducted on the existing market to benchmark the current products available.  These existing products will be compared and ranked against given industry requirements to determine possible gaps in the market.  Patent research may also be used to determine if a new idea can be considered novel or if similar ideas have been attempted in the past.

Concept Product Design

Through technology brainstorming, ideation and decision matrices, you'll receive a hashed-out concept ready for detailed design.

At this stage, multiple concepts can be brainstormed and compared to each other and existing products on the market.  Each concept will be evaluated against a number of criteria including manufacturability, costs, market impact and more.  once a concept design has been chosen, it can then developed into a detailed design.

Detailed Product Design

Get production ready engineering models and drawings ready to send to your suppliers for prototype or production.

Here concepts will be further developed and analyzed to create a complete and functional design.  Engineering drawings and CAD documents can be created to industry standards for any manufacturer to review, quote and produce.  Engineering analysis is also done at this stage, and can include frequency and vibration analysis, structural analysis, or thermal analysis.

Prototyping

Nothing beats the feeling of holding your product in your hand for the first time and seeing how well your product performs.

At this stage, short run or one-off parts will be produced to emulate the production components and assemblies.  These prototype parts may also be tested in lab environments or real-world environments to evaluate the durability and effectiveness of the design.  Any manufacturing processes can be used to develop the prototype part including machining, surface grinding, short-run injection molding or additive manufacturing/3D printing.  We also have extensive electronic and circuit board prototyping available.

Supplier Development

Whether it's a local machine shop or overseas assembly, you'll have every connection you'll need to get quality parts on time and at a reasonable cost.

For products entering into the production stage, relationships with supply chain suppliers and manufacturers can be established to ensure a smooth transition from prototype parts to production parts.  Quality inspection plans and supplier contracts can also be developed at this stage to ensure all parties are aware of the requirements and expectations throughout the production process.

Production Plan

Build a lean and sustainable production process with a robust production plan.

Using ISO certified tools and processes, lean and sustainable production processes will be developed with a robust production plan.  With a production plan you'll be able to begin building your production operations with aspects such as schedules, inventory management system, and production workflows.
